Mario’s Pizzeria in Hoboken will once again serve a free Thanksgiving dinner to anyone in need this Thursday, marking its 25th year of the tradition.

The family-run pizzeria typically serves over 300 meals on Thanksgiving Day, starting at 11 a.m.

“Everyone and anyone is welcome,” the pizzeria said in a statement. “We’ll have all the traditional sides—stuffing, yams, green beans—and even a bit of dessert.”

Last year, Mario’s ran out of food by 4 p.m. after serving nearly 400 meals, an increase from their usual 300. They plan to cook over 20 turkeys again this year.

The pizzeria encouraged people to arrive early and spread the word to anyone who may need a meal, whether they are working in Hoboken, away from family, or simply seeking company.

“Anyone who needs a warm meal, or wants to hang out and watch football with us, is welcome,” they said. “We want this year to be just as special as in the past.”

Mario’s Pizzeria, a local favorite since 1985, is known for its variety of pizza toppings, friendly service, and TVs often tuned to Yankee games or cartoons. However, the free Thanksgiving dinner will feature a traditional turkey meal with all the classic sides, not pizza.
