Pizza N’ Such, a beloved Claremont staple for 45 years, is not closing its doors, despite recent rumors sparked by a misleading announcement. Some residents became concerned when Southern California pizza chain Baby Bros used a photo of the Verbal Building, home to Pizza N’ Such, on its website with the headline “Claremont location coming soon.”
However, Laura Verbal, co-owner of Pizza N’ Such, quickly clarified the situation. “They sure got the rumor mill going!” Verbal said in an email. She explained that the confusion stemmed from the recent change of the business’s legal structure from an INC to an LLC, which required a new alcohol license. A poster stating “change of ownership” was put up, further fueling the rumors.
Verbal reassured customers that the restaurant is not going anywhere. “I keep assuring people we are not going anywhere, but I can’t seem to squash the rumor,” she said. “Just to be clear, Pizza N’ Such is sticking around!”
