Donatos Pizza has officially opened its newest location at 1400 Long Prairie Road, Suite 160, in Flower Mound, near Parlor Doughnuts.
The national pizza chain, founded in 1963 in Columbus, Ohio, is known for its pizzas made with fresh, hand-cut vegetables, smoked provolone cheese, and edge-to-edge toppings. Customers can enjoy their meals by dining in, picking up, or having them delivered, according to a recent press release from the town of Flower Mound.
Lynne and Ralph Pence, local residents of Flower Mound, co-own the new location. Their son, Travis, manages the daily operations.
“Opening a Donatos Pizza in Texas is a dream come true for us. Opening it together as a family makes it even better,” said Ralph Pence. “As lifelong fans of Donatos, we’re excited to bring our favorite pizza to the DFW area. We can’t wait to show people down south what good pizza looks and tastes like.”
The Pences’ connection to Donatos Pizza is deeply rooted in family tradition, spanning 40 years.
“We’re from Columbus, Ohio, where our kids grew up and where our family still lives. It’s also the hometown of Donatos Pizza,” Ralph explained. “Lynne’s sister worked at Donatos, and her brother-in-law still works with the company. Our daughter in Oklahoma was thrilled when she heard Donatos was coming to Edmond. She called us right away. We knew we had to be part of it.”
Throughout December, customers at Donatos Pizza in Flower Mound can choose to round up their orders to support the Enabling Movement Foundation. This organization helps people with disabilities improve their mobility and quality of life through adaptive technology.
