Sabatini’s Restaurant & Pizza, a well-loved fixture in Westborough, has closed after 45 years in business.
The South Street pizzeria closed unexpectedly, according to a report by MetroWest Daily News. A sign on the restaurant’s door thanked local residents for their decades of support but did not provide a reason for the closure.
Residents expressed their surprise and shared fond memories of the restaurant on the “Heart of Westborough” Facebook page.
“One of Westborough’s landmarks,” one user commented. “Thank you for the memories.”
