California Pizza Kitchen is offering customers a way to help those affected by the ongoing wildfires in Greater Los Angeles. On Monday, January 20th, and Tuesday, January 21st, the restaurant will donate 20% of all food and beverage sales to the American Red Cross. This applies to all California Pizza Kitchen locations across the country.
To participate, customers simply need to mention or show a flyer or social media post related to the fundraising event. The donations apply not only to in-person dining but also to takeout, catering, and online orders made through their website (cpk.com), as long as the promo code “REDCROSS” is used at checkout. However, California Pizza Kitchen’s bake-at-home frozen pizzas are not included in the promotion.
The funds raised will support the American Red Cross in providing food, shelter, and supplies to communities impacted by the wildfires. In addition to this, individuals can make direct donations to the American Red Cross.
Restaurants Support LA First Responders
Many local and national restaurants are offering aid to first responders battling the fires in Los Angeles. Denny’s is giving free Original Grand Slam breakfasts to uniformed first responders through January 19th. KFC is providing free KFC Bowls to first responders until January 20th.
McDonald’s is using food trucks to serve first responders and is offering free Happy Meals, with adult-sized meals available as well. Starbucks, while closing stores in evacuation areas, is providing temporary catastrophe pay to employees affected by the fires. The coffee chain is also donating coffee to shelters and offering free tall coffee to first responders at LA-area locations.
