A Baltimore County pizza shop was broken into overnight by two suspects, believed to be juveniles, who caused significant damage to the establishment. The incident, captured on surveillance footage, took place at Pizza Palace on Reisterstown Road.
The suspects gained entry by throwing a brick through the shop’s glass door, leaving the owner shocked and frustrated. “This is the first time that it has ever happened,” the owner said, expressing disbelief.
Before the break-in, four individuals were seen across the street at a nearby Pizza Boli’s, asking about the shop’s closing hours. However, only two suspects entered Pizza Palace. Based on the footage, the owner believes the burglars were likely teenagers. “Looking at their size, just from the video, from the CCTV, I’m guessing juveniles—around 16 or 17 years old,” the owner said.
Baltimore County police responded promptly, bringing in K9 units to track the suspects. Despite their efforts, the burglars managed to escape. Authorities believe the same individuals may have targeted another pizza shop on Edmondson Avenue the night before.
“The suspect didn’t even wear gloves. But police already got the fingerprints,” the owner added, hopeful that the evidence could help lead investigators to the culprits.
The burglars stole only a few sodas from the fridge, but the damage to the glass door is estimated at $800. The owner expressed disappointment and frustration over the crime, particularly regarding the challenges of holding juvenile offenders accountable. “It’s bad, disappointing, and sad,” the owner said, reflecting on the emotional toll the break-in has taken.
