As the Buffalo Bills prepare for their AFC Championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Tops location on Sheridan Drive is fueling fans with themed food and treats.
“The community is fully behind the Buffalo Bills,” said Linda Sullivan, prepared foods manager at Tops. “It’s everywhere you go, so we try to get our customers involved and show them that we support the team.”
Each week, Sullivan creates Bills-themed pizzas to get fans in the spirit. “We get creative with football-related designs, like goal posts or the football with shoelaces,” she explained. “We even make Josh Allen’s number—everyone’s a Josh fan!”
Meanwhile, Bakery Manager Alicia Bianco is preparing desserts to add sweetness to fans’ game-day celebrations. “I love giving fans what they want. One of our displays even made it onto Twitter, with people saying, ‘Tops on Sheridan has Bills cakes!’ That really made me happy,” Bianco said.
Though the team puts in plenty of work for game days, they are thrilled to support the Bills and their fans. “This could be their year,” Bianco said. “If they win tonight, we’ll have an even bigger display to celebrate!”
