A longtime employee of Main Line Pizza & Catering in Wayne, Alban Fezollari, has purchased the business from its previous owners, Robert and Jennifer Saionz. Fezollari, who had been with the company for 16 years, took ownership in January, marking a new chapter for the popular pizza establishment.
Fezollari and his wife, Ana, both Albanian immigrants, acquired the business from the Saionzes, who had owned and operated it since 1993. The Fezollaris’ connection to the restaurant is personal—Alban’s two brothers worked at the pizza shop, and he himself joined the team in 2008 upon arriving in Philadelphia.
“When Alban arrived in Philadelphia, he came straight to the shop,” Jennifer Saionz recalled. “All he knew how to say was ‘hello, hi!’”
Fezollari’s brothers encouraged him to work at Main Line Pizza, drawn by the family-like atmosphere created by the Saionzes. “That’s why people stay for so long,” Fezollari explained. “It’s not about being a superior; we’re all a team here.”
Fezollari quickly adapted to the pizza business, learning all aspects of the operation. Over time, the Saionzes also played a key role in helping bring Ana to the United States.
Main Line Pizza, well-regarded for its community involvement and support, has been a staple in Wayne. As the Saionzes pass the torch to the Fezollaris, they are excited to see how Alban will carry on their legacy while adding his own touch to the business.
