In celebration of National Pizza Day, we asked readers to vote for their top pizza spots in Bucks County. Nearly 200 local restaurants were nominated, and after narrowing down the list, two pizzerias emerged as standouts: A & G Pizzeria Locale in Feasterville and Mama Russo’s Pizzeria in Trevose. Both establishments were praised for their delicious food, exceptional service, and overall value.
Here’s a closer look at these two beloved pizza joints, the people behind them, and what makes them so special to their loyal customers.
A & G Pizzeria Locale – Feasterville
Opened in late 2023 by local couple Gia and Edward Houmas, A & G Pizzeria Locale has quickly won over the community. In just over a year, the restaurant has established itself as a neighborhood favorite, thanks in part to the strong support they received from customers right from the start.
“Without our customers, we wouldn’t be here,” said Gia. “Everyone showed up in the first few months, understanding that we were brand new and working through some growing pains. They kept coming back and supporting us.”
A major factor in their success, according to Gia, is the restaurant’s focus on customer feedback and providing a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere.
“People need to feel like they belong. It’s about more than just the pizza. Our staff is exceptional, and the young people who work here are very polite. We’re truly blessed,” she shared.
A & G’s reputation for friendly service, coupled with its delicious food and reasonable prices, were highlighted in many of the nominations.
“Everything on their menu is top-notch. There’s not one thing that disappoints. And they treat you like family,” one nominee stated. Another mentioned, “Family-owned, always go above and beyond to greet us and remember us! The pizza is great, and the $10 pie each month is a fantastic deal,” referring to the restaurant’s February special, “The Hunt”—a half-size Sicilian pizza with extra cheese, served with a side of tomato dipping sauce.
Alongside classic and specialty pizzas, A & G offers a variety of Italian favorites, including cheesesteaks, wings, burgers, Greek specialties, desserts, and old-fashioned Italian sodas.
