In a heartwarming collaboration, California Live’s Amber Pfister visited Sgt. Pepperoni’s Pizza in Irvine, where celebrity fitness trainer Rulk shared the recipe for his famous Cauli-Brisket Pie – a pizza that not only tastes good but also gives back. All proceeds from the sale of this unique pie benefit the Pathway School, a special educational institution that helps students who face challenges in traditional classroom settings. The school provides students with the tools and strategies they need to thrive.
The Cauli-Brisket Pie, also known as “Player 2,” is a delicious fusion of flavors, featuring a cauliflower crust topped with savory BBQ sauce, mozzarella cheese, smoked brisket, caramelized onions, and sliced mushrooms.
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup Savory BBQ Sauce (or to taste)
- 1 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 6 ounces smoked Brisket, chopped
- ¼ cup caramelized onions
- ¼ cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 (14-inch) prepared cauliflower crust
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F. Place the cauliflower crust on a baking sheet, or for an extra crispy crust, preheat a baking stone.
Spread BBQ sauce evenly over the crust, followed by mozzarella cheese, chopped brisket, caramelized onions, and sliced mushrooms.
Bake at 400°F for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Not only will you enjoy this flavorful pie, but you’ll also be supporting an important cause that helps equip students for success.
