The San Antonio area continues to experience a surge in new dining options, with popular restaurants and fast food chains flocking to the bustling region. Adding to the growing selection, Crust Pizza Co., a Texas-based pizza chain, is set to open its first location in Cibolo along the rapidly developing I-35 corridor.
The Woodlands-based restaurant group has filed plans with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) for a $400,000 Chicago-style pizza restaurant in the area. The 3,050-square-foot establishment is slated to begin construction on April 1, with an expected completion date just before Thanksgiving, November 15. All filings with the TDLR are subject to change without prior notice.
Crust Pizza Co. is known for its diverse menu, offering customers a wide range of options from salads, pastas, and flatbread sandwiches to calzones and pizza. Signature pizzas include the $11 personal 10-inch “Big Cheesy” and the $11 10-inch “Big Don’s” pizza, loaded with Canadian bacon, pepperoni, pork sausage, salami, beef, bacon, and a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.
Since opening its first location in January 2011, Crust Pizza Co. has expanded to 30 locations across Texas. The brand has also been making moves along the I-35 corridor, with a restaurant already operating in New Braunfels, just 15 minutes away from the new Cibolo site. Additionally, the company plans to open a location in Kyle, dubbed the “Pie Capital of Texas.” With nine new restaurants on the horizon, Crust Pizza Co. is poised for continued growth in the region.
The company has yet to confirm a specific grand opening date for the new Cibolo location, but customers can expect more details in the coming months.
