Marco’s Pizza, a fast-casual pizza chain, is aiming to expand into Chester County, according to Emma Dooling of Philadelphia Business Journal. The chain, which currently operates five locations in Western and Central Pennsylvania, is looking to open 10 to 15 new stores across Eastern Pennsylvania over the next five years, with a focus on the Philadelphia region.

Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, Marco’s Pizza has grown to over 1,200 locations across 35 U.S. states. To support its expansion in Eastern Pennsylvania, Marco’s has partnered with Jack Praizner, a former Domino’s franchisee from Folsom, to open new locations in Bethlehem and Whitehall.

Gerardo Flores, Marco’s Pizza Chief Development Officer, confirmed that the company is also considering Chester County for future stores. The chain is looking for spaces in high-traffic areas, around 1,500 square feet in size, to accommodate both in-store dining and its signature takeout and delivery services.

Although specific Chester County locations haven’t been disclosed, Flores emphasized the county’s combination of residential and commercial areas, making it a prime candidate for expansion. He noted, “Philadelphia presents an exciting growth opportunity due to its diverse and thriving communities, strong local economy, and love for quality pizza.”
