Pizza Hut has appointed Motion Sickness as its new creative and strategic agency, drawn to the firm’s innovative approach and proven success in brand growth across New Zealand.
Clark Wilson, Marketing Director at Restaurant Brands, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “Motion Sickness stood out to us due to their impressive track record of delivering breakthrough and creative campaigns in New Zealand. Their deep understanding of both cultural trends and creative best practices makes them an ideal partner for the Pizza Hut brand moving forward.”
The partnership kicks off with the launch of the “Don’t Sleep On It” campaign, promoting Pizza Hut’s Cheesy Bites™. The cheeky ad suggests that indulging in the product might lead to an unusual side effect—so-called “cheese dreams.” The campaign generated buzz, with influencers driving an online conspiracy before expanding across television, out-of-home (OOH) advertising, print, and in-store promotions.
This latest win adds to Motion Sickness’ growing portfolio of new clients and industry accolades. Alex McManus, General Manager of Motion Sickness, reflected on the significance of the appointment, saying, “Partnering with a global brand like Pizza Hut is an incredible opportunity for us. It reinforces the direction our talented team is heading after such a successful year. From our very first meeting, it was clear that we would work well together.”
