Carmela Cataldo, a skilled pizza maker at Antonio’s, achieved an impressive feat by winning “1st Place in the Mid-West” and securing the 11th position overall at the esteemed pizza competition.
Competing against 88 other pizza makers in her division, Carmela crafted a winning pizza featuring a meticulously prepared 72-hour cold ferment dough, complemented by house Pomodoro Sauce, mozzarella cheese, house link sausage, hot honey sausage, Calabrian Peppers, and Pepadew peppers.
The recognition comes as no surprise given Carmela’s culinary prowess, which she undoubtedly inherited from her father, Paul, who has dedicated over 40 years to running Antonio’s Italian Ristorante.
