Toronto has a secret new spot for pizza but it’s hard to get

by Emma

Toronto is now home to a super-secret pizza pop-up called Gracie’s, serving up seriously drool-worthy pies, but only those in the know can get their hands on a slice.

Founder Chris, a long-time pizzeria chef, started Gracie’s by making pizzas for friends, and as word spread about his pies, the idea for the pop-up began to take shape.

Gracie’s holds court on select dates at various bars across the city, quickly gaining a reputation for creating loaded pizzas with a range of toppings, from traditional margherita and pepperoni to innovative options like caesar salad, all on sourdough crust.

Recently, they’ve expanded beyond pizza, adding salad, chicken wings, and tiramisu to the menu at their most recent pop-up at Mama’s Liquor and Lounge.

Their most recent menu featured pizzas like margherita, pepperoni, spicy sopressata, and sweet squash with pecorino and chive pesto, priced between $18 to $21 for 12″ pies.

While still in its early days, Gracie’s has plans to hold pop-ups more regularly and eventually partner with a space that will allow them to operate out of an in-house kitchen. Ultimately, their goal is to establish a permanent location for the pizzeria.

For now, Gracie’s announces their upcoming pop-ups and new menu additions on their Instagram account, with pop-ups selling out quickly, so pizza enthusiasts will want to stay updated to snag a pie at the next event.
