The Dish: Sizzling New Pizza Spots in Fort Worth

by Emma

Pizza might have originated in Italy, but America has truly embraced and transformed it, introducing flavors and styles Rome never imagined. Think Tikka Masala pizza, dill pickle pizza, or Mexican elote pizza. This week, we’re highlighting four exciting new pizza spots in Fort Worth, each bringing a unique twist to this beloved dish.

Delucca Gaucho Pizza & Wine Delucca’s redefines the pizza dining experience, perfect for date nights or special celebrations. For $25.95, adults can enjoy an array of scratch-made appetizers, pizza, and desserts served by gauchos—Brazilian cowboys—who bring fresh offerings to your table as long as you stay. Kids aged 3-6 eat for $11, and ages 7-12 for $18.

Their wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizzas range from traditional flavors like Four Cheeses and Truffle to inventive options such as Chicken Tikka Masala and Mexican Elote. The Lobster Bisque appetizer is a must-try. Delucca’s extensive wine list features cabernets from Caymus and Chimney Rock Stag’s Leap at reasonable prices. Enjoy their happy hour from 4:30-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. Their new Alliance Town Center location opened recently, adding to their South Hulen location and five others across North Texas and Austin.

Pizza Buzz Pizza Buzz has moved from Basswood Boulevard to a larger space in Watauga, much to the delight of its loyal customers. Known for unique flavors like Dill Pickle and Tandoori Chicken, Pizza Buzz celebrated its grand opening last week. 5901 Watauga Road, Watauga; 817-849-2896

Parry’s Pizzeria & Taphouse Originating from Denver, Parry’s Pizzeria & Taphouse is serious about New York-style pizza, hot wings, and craft brews. Their extensive menu includes salads, wraps, pasta dishes, calzones, and desserts. With 72 craft beers on tap, including local Texas brews, Parry’s new Fort Worth location is a must-visit. 9601 North Freeway, Fort Worth; 682-564-1176

Freshslice Pizza Canadian favorite Freshslice Pizza is set to open near TCU this fall, marking their first U.S. franchise. Known as the “Starbucks of Pizza” in Canada, Freshslice offers flat pricing on build-your-own pizzas with unlimited toppings, no sticker shock at checkout, and pizzas by the slice, perfect for students. They also provide delivery. Trenton Parks, the Dallas-based executive bringing Freshslice to Texas, plans to open two more North Texas locations later this year.
