After more than 50 years of serving the community, Donte’s Restaurant and Pizza Shop in Brook Park is closing its doors permanently. The beloved local eatery announced the closure on Monday via their Facebook page.

“To our beloved customers, family, and friends, we wanted to be the first to share the official news with you. After 52 years in business, we have made the bittersweet decision to close our doors,” wrote Beth Angeloff and Mark Casedonte, the current owners.

Donte’s, a fixture in the community, will serve its last meal on Wednesday, July 17. The announcement expressed gratitude for the support the restaurant has received over the years.

“It has been a pleasure serving this community for 50+ years and we were honored to continue our parent’s legacy,” the post read. “We have felt the love from everyone regarding this next chapter and hope to see all of you in the coming weeks as we say farewell to Donte’s.”

The closure marks the end of an era for many locals who have cherished Donte’s for its welcoming atmosphere and delicious food.
