Domino’s Australia Faces Class Action Over Japan Market Claims

Sept 9 – Domino’s Pizza Enterprises (DMP.AX) in Australia has been hit with a shareholder class action. The lawsuit alleges that the company misled investors in 2021 about its performance expectations in Japan.

In a market filing on Monday, Domino’s denied any wrongdoing and stated that it will vigorously defend itself against the claims.

Following the announcement, Domino’s shares fell by as much as 2.8%, trading at A$29.10.

The legal action was filed by consultancy Echo Law on behalf of shareholders who invested in Domino’s through equity swap agreements between August 18, 2021, and November 3, 2021.
