For two nights, renowned Italian pizza chef Andrea Brunetti will join forces with Shane Delia of Maha to support Mental Health Month. The events at the sister restaurants, Il Caminetto and Shop 225, aim to raise awareness for mental health issues. All proceeds will benefit Lifeline, a crisis hotline that offers 24-hour mental health support across the country.

On October 2, guests can visit Shop 225 in Pascoe Vale to enjoy Brunetti’s signature Non Chiamatemi Margherita, a creative take on the classic pizza featuring fior di latte, pesto, burrata, and cherry tomato mayo. This will be alongside the regular menu offerings. The following night, at Il Caminetto in Moonee Ponds, Brunetti will serve his Solanum pizza, topped with burrata and eggplant parmigiana cream. For both evenings, Delia has prepared an exclusive dish: pan-fried gnocchi with Lebanese-style lamb, roast tomato, cumin, and olive oil.

Brunetti opened Sileo, which means “new start” in Latin, in the Piedmont region after overcoming several personal challenges. He faced a serious work-related burn, a Tourette’s diagnosis, and the end of a long-term relationship. These experiences have driven him to promote mental health awareness. His pizzeria was recognized as one of the best in the world by Top 50 Pizza Italy in 2023.

Additionally, football player Ben Brown will attend both events as a guest of honor.
