Eat Pizza, a popular pizzeria from South Korea, has opened its first location in the Philippines. This chain is known for its uniquely shaped and flavored pizzas.

Eat Pizza aims to change the traditional round pizza experience by offering rectangular pizzas designed for solo dining. Managing Director Alexander Scott Tan explained, “I wanted to revolutionize the way we eat pizza… It has always been that round pizza. You have to buy the whole thing.” He believes that this new format makes it easy to eat and store.

What to Expect

The pizzeria serves 10-inch pizzas packaged in rectangular boxes with a convenient slide mechanism. This design allows customers to enjoy a slice of pizza without needing to share a whole pie.

Tan stated, “We do not only offer Korean flavors on a pizza, but the serving size is unique. Whether you are a solo diner craving pizza or want to let everyone order their preferred flavor, we offer an out-of-the-ordinary pizza experience in every slide.”

The managing director hopes that this launch will allow Filipinos to explore the creativity of Korean cuisine while enjoying pizza in a new way.

Founded in 2021, Eat Pizza currently operates over 100 branches in South Korea. It has recently expanded to Singapore and plans to open locations in Thailand and Taiwan. With its new branch in the Philippines, Tan hinted at further expansion plans across the country. “We’re ready to let the Philippines try Eat Pizza as fast as possible,” he stated.
