Henley Beach is welcoming a new brunch spot, Santi’s, which will officially open its doors on Wednesday, October 16th. Located on Seaview Road, the café offers coffee and Roman-inspired pizza by the slice. The concept is inspired by Gabriele Bonci, a renowned Roman pizza chef known for his slow-fermented dough and gourmet toppings.
Santi’s menu features a 24-hour fermented wholemeal sourdough created by Christian, a chef from Northern Italy with over ten years of pizza-making experience. Christian started with traditional thin-crust pizzas but developed a passion for pizza al taglio, which he is now bringing to Henley Beach.
The owners of Santi’s are not new to the hospitality scene, as they also run popular establishments like Alimentary Eatery and The Alchemist’s Kitchen in Brighton.
The menu at Santi’s will change weekly to highlight fresh, seasonal ingredients. Customers can look forward to options such as ‘The Staple,’ which includes smoked ham, cheese, and mushrooms on a rich tomato base. Another offering, ‘Veggie Patch,’ features a colorful mix of zucchini, eggplant, artichokes, mushrooms, and fresh basil.
For those seeking savory options, ‘The Betta Porchetta’ combines slow-roasted pork with a fennel and jalapeño salad. Brunch lovers can enjoy ‘A Slice of Breakfast,’ topped with a fried egg, bacon, avocado, and chopped tomatoes.
Santi’s is strategically located on the busy Seaview Road, making it an ideal destination for both locals and tourists, especially as warmer weather approaches. The café has seating for 20 indoors, an intimate courtyard for 10, and an outdoor area that accommodates an additional 15 guests.
This new café is perfect for relaxing beachside mornings or casual snacks after a swim. Santi’s will also provide takeaway slices from its café window for those looking to enjoy their pizza on the beach.
With its laid-back atmosphere and vibrant food culture, Santi’s aims to offer a unique dining experience at Henley Beach. The café is also developing an à la carte menu, expanding its offerings to cozy seaside brunches.
Santi’s will be open to the public from Wednesday, October 16th, serving coffee starting at 7 a.m. and breakfast and brunch from 10:30 a.m. Be sure to check it out!
