Zepeddie’s Pizzeria has reopened in Lower South End after nearly 25 years. The New York-style pizza restaurant originally operated on Woodlawn Road from 1994 until 2001.
The significance of this reopening lies in its history. The Zepsa family first opened Zepeddie’s in 1994. They sold the restaurant in 1999, and the new owners closed it two years later. Now, the Zepsas have returned with a revival, bringing back the original neon sign, as noted by Queen City Nerve.
The new location features a renovated 2,000-square-foot space, completed by Zepsa Construction. Zepeddie’s menu includes NY-style pizzas available in 12- and 16-inch sizes, calzones, stromboli, sandwiches, and desserts. Customers can choose between thin or thick-crust specialty pies or create their own pizza, calzone, or stromboli.
Among the offerings is the “Big Gabagool,” which features pepperoni, capicola, meatballs, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese.
Zepeddie’s is located at 4516 Nations Crossing Road, next to Lower Left Brewing. The restaurant is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
To celebrate the grand reopening, Zepeddie’s will host an event on November 1 and 2. The festivities will include lunch and dinner entertainment, a raffle, and a stromboli eating contest on Saturday, November 2, at 2:30 p.m.
