Jubilant FoodWorks, the franchise operator of Domino’s Pizza in India, has announced plans to reduce its delivery time from 30 minutes to 20 minutes. This move aims to meet growing competition and changing consumer demands, especially in light of the rapid rise of quick-commerce.
The delivery time change was highlighted in the company’s post-earnings call on November 11, 2024. During the call, management emphasized the importance of faster service as a key part of their operational strategy.
Jubilant FoodWorks reported positive growth in customer acquisitions and order volumes. This growth is largely driven by targeted efforts during peak hours from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Despite keeping menu prices stable for the last nine quarters, the company has offset the cost of waived delivery fees by introducing selective packaging charges.
Looking ahead, Jubilant FoodWorks expects continued demand through the October-December quarter. However, the company is preparing for potential margin pressures in the January-March quarter due to rising raw material costs, which may affect profitability.
