California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) is set to expand its presence in the western United States through its first major domestic franchise agreement.
The California-based pizza chain has formed its first multi-unit franchise partnership with Sundine LLC, a restaurant operator with multiple locations. Sundine will acquire three CPK restaurants in Las Vegas, with plans to open six more units in Nevada and Utah over the next few years.
The franchise deal is part of CPK’s broader strategy for domestic growth. The company aims to partner with a select group of experienced operators in key markets, granting them exclusive rights to open new locations and explore future brand extensions.
“This is a key milestone in CPK’s growth strategy as we welcome our first major domestic franchise partner,” said Michael Beacham, President of CPK. “Partnering with top-tier operators like Sundine in key markets outside of California is about more than just opening new restaurants. It’s about ensuring the long-term success of our brand and maintaining the quality of our guest experience. With Sundine’s expertise and passion for CPK, we are confident they will set a high standard for future partnerships.”
