On November 26th, Gloria Trattoria in Shoreditch, London, will host a special charity dinner to raise funds for INTERSOS, an Italian humanitarian organization that supports unaccompanied minors in conflict zones. The event, organized by Big Mamma Group, will feature renowned Italian chefs Francesco Martucci and Diego Vitagliano.
The evening will begin with antipasti and desserts created by Big Mamma’s Executive Chef, Filippo La Gattuta. Guest chefs Martucci and Vitagliano, who hail from the top two Italian pizzerias of 2024 according to 50 Top Pizza, will serve seven exclusive pizzas. Martucci will introduce his new pizza dough, crafted from a unique blend of grains and seeds, topped with innovative versions of classic pizza ingredients like onions, mayonnaise, fermented onion, and jam. Vitagliano will present a “double crunch” pizza with smoked provolone and smoked Angus beef, among other premium toppings.
Big Mamma’s head pizza chef Andrea de Michele will introduce the guest chefs during the event, which celebrates the group’s recognition as one of the world’s best artisan pizza makers by 50 Top Pizza.
The menu will include three pizzas by Martucci, such as the Futuro di Marinara, featuring roasted tomato cream, olives, anchovies, garlic pesto, capers, and oregano. Another standout is the Saturnia pizza, with black garlic mousse and red tuna bottarga. Vitagliano’s menu will include three pizzas, including the Abra-ciami, with a double-crust base, smoked provola, smoked Angus carpaccio, sweet paprika, fleur de sel, and charred mayonnaise. The Colpo di testa pizza will feature leeks in butter, fiordilatte mozzarella, cured coppa, and a Neapolitan bell pepper cream.
Tickets for the event are priced at €101, with all proceeds benefiting INTERSOS. The charity’s work is vital in providing protection and care for vulnerable children who have been separated from their families in war zones.
