Goomba’s Pizzeria, a family-owned business, is serving up New York-style pizza along with subs, salads, pasta, and wings in San Antonio.
“We’ve been part of the San Antonio community for 13 years,” said Robert “Beto” Herrera, owner of Goomba’s Pizzeria. “Everything is made from scratch and fresh every day just for you. Goomba means ‘my family’ in Italian, and family is at the heart of everything we do here. Almost every member of my family works here.”
Goomba’s specializes in New York-style pizza, known for its large slices, thin crust, extra sauce, and quality ingredients. “We focus on big slices with great cheese and a bit more sauce,” Herrera added.
A recent customer, a New York transplant, shared their thoughts on the pizza: “The most important thing for me is being able to grab a good slice for lunch. It’s hard to find that at many places. Five stars from me.”
