Mountain Mike’s Pizza, a California-based chain, is rapidly expanding in the Boise area. After opening its first location at 3340 N. Eagle Road in Meridian in 2022, the chain has now launched two more locations in the Treasure Valley.
The second Idaho location opened in January at 51 N. Union St. in Star, a growing suburb northwest of Boise. The third, located at 4610 N. Linder Road in Meridian, is the newest addition to the area.
All three locations are owned and operated by Gem State Pies, an Idaho franchisee with plans to open two more Mountain Mike’s locations in the region.
Known for its “legendary crispy, curly pepperonis, Mountain-sized pizzas, and dough made fresh daily,” Mountain Mike’s offers a family-friendly pizza experience, featuring signature pizzas, chicken wings, garlic knots, fresh salads, shareable desserts, and a selection of beer and wine.
As for a Mountain Mike’s in Boise, it’s coming soon, according to a company publicist. The exact location has not yet been confirmed.
Founded in 1978 in Palo Alto, Mountain Mike’s is a popular chain on the West Coast. With nearly 300 locations, the company is now focusing on expanding outside of California.
The newest Meridian restaurant, located on Linder Road, boasts 10 big-screen televisions, making it a prime spot for sports fans. The location also includes an all-you-can-eat pizza and salad bar lunch buffet, a kids’ arcade, a party room, craft beer and wine, complimentary Wi-Fi, and an outdoor patio for al fresco dining.
Mountain Mike’s offers a variety of pizza options, including the ability to build your own or choose from signature pies. A standard pepperoni pizza ranges from $7.50 for a 6-inch mini to $21.99 for a 14-inch large. For those with a bigger appetite, a 20-inch “Mountain”-sized pizza costs $33.99.
Specialty pizzas cost more, and reviews for the Meridian location on Eagle Road show a 3.8-star rating on Google and 3.3 stars on Yelp.
For those looking to try the new Meridian location on Linder Road, the lunch buffet is available weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The buffet offers unlimited pizza and salad, plus a drink, for $12.99 ($10.99 without a drink).
Mountain Mike’s also offers dine-in, takeout, and delivery options, including its own delivery drivers along with third-party services.
