Black Sheep Coal Fired Pizza, a beloved eatery on Nicollet Avenue, will close its doors at the end of November. The announcement, confirmed by a sign on the restaurant’s door, marks the end of a decade-long presence on Eat Street.
The message on the door read: “We have had ten wonderful years here and our time is up! We are going to focus our limited and aging attention on our original North Loop location and our grandchildren!”
Known for its coal-fired pizzas with thin, charred crusts and creative toppings, Black Sheep Pizza has been a favorite among both locals and visitors. Its cozy atmosphere and delicious pies made it a go-to spot for pizza lovers.
Although the Nicollet Avenue location is closing, the owners assure fans that the North Loop restaurant will remain open, continuing to serve the same popular dishes that helped build the restaurant’s reputation.
For the community, the closure is a reminder of the constant changes in the restaurant scene. As Black Sheep says goodbye to Eat Street, its loyal customers will hold on to the memories of many meals shared over coal-fired pizza.
If you haven’t had a chance to visit, there’s still time to enjoy a final slice before November 30. After that, fans can still enjoy Black Sheep’s signature flavors at their North Loop location.
As the restaurant closes one chapter, it opens another. The team looks forward to their next chapter while celebrating the lasting impact of the past ten years on Eat Street.
