Dr. Oetker has issued a warning regarding its La Mia Familia 4-Cheese Pizza Bread, which may contain copper wires. The issue stems from a supplier, according to the company. Consuming the product could pose health risks.
The affected product is sold at Jumbo supermarkets and can be identified by its expiry date of November 2025 and batch code 06112415.
Refund Process for Customers
Customers who purchased the pizza bread are advised to contact Dr. Oetker’s consumer service. To receive a refund, they should email a photo of the packaging along with their account number. The company recommends discarding the product rather than returning it to the store.
Dr. Oetker has already begun removing the affected batch from Jumbo’s shelves to prevent further sales.
Previous Incidents of Metal Contamination
This incident follows similar cases involving metal particles in food. Recent warnings have been issued about copper contamination in salads, including products from Johma and various private-label brands.
Consumers are urged to remain vigilant and report any concerns to the relevant companies.
