Santucci’s Pizza has officially opened a new location in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, offering its signature “sauce-on-top” pizza in a stylish, newly designed space. The Cherry Hill restaurant is located in the Holly Ravine Plaza on Springdale Road, near Evesham Road.
The new restaurant features a quick-casual dining area at the front and a larger dining space in the back. It serves a full menu, including sandwiches, pizza, and other favorites, in a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant’s open kitchen allows customers to view the preparation of fresh, scratch-made recipes, including pizza dough, meatballs, sauce, and even salad dressing.
The local franchise owners, John Dingler and Steve Bombaro, both from the area, decided to start their business after years of working in blue-collar trades. Their decision to open a Santucci’s Pizza franchise came after researching various options and finding the Santucci family’s pizza business to be the best fit.
During my visit, I had the opportunity to speak with Dingler and Bombaro, who emphasized their commitment to quality and family recipes. The pizza dough, sauce, and other key ingredients are made fresh daily in the store, and the pizza’s unique preparation — with cheese placed directly on the crust and sauce on top — sets it apart from other local pizzerias.
“I had no idea that everything at Santucci’s is made from scratch right here in the restaurant,” said Dingler, mentioning how the pizza sauce is made fresh using family recipes. “Absolutely,” he confirmed when asked about the use of fresh tomatoes and spices.
The Cherry Hill location also offers a popular dish: short rib gravy fries, which I had the chance to try. The short rib is tender and cooked in-house, and the flavorful gravy makes this dish a standout.
While the Cherry Hill location is already open, the franchise team is also preparing to open a Santucci’s in Deptford, New Jersey. The new Deptford location will be situated near the Deptford Mall, at the corner of Clements Bridge Road and Almonesson Road, in a former Pearl Vision building.
John Dingler, a Deptford resident, shared that the property owner was particularly interested in working with Santucci’s due to the local ownership and the appeal of the Santucci brand. Construction for the Deptford location is set to begin soon, with an expected opening in early spring, possibly even sooner, depending on progress.
Santucci’s Pizza continues to expand its presence in the region, offering delicious pizza and other menu items made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
