Giovanna’s Pizza, a family-owned Italian restaurant known for its New York-style pizzas, has opened in central Scottsdale. The restaurant is located on the southeast corner of Mountain View and Via Linda, taking over the space previously occupied by Kuko’s Nest, a short-lived Greek eatery, in the Mercado at Scottsdale Ranch shopping center.
The menu features 17 specialty pizzas, including unique options such as:
Balkan Beauty: Garlic olive oil-based pizza with spinach, artichoke, black olives, red onion, sun-dried tomato, feta, and oregano.
Chicken Kebob: Garlic olive oil-based pizza with chicken, tomato, red onion, banana peppers, feta, and house dressing.
Roadrunner: Chipotle cream sauce-based pizza with chicken, bacon, mushroom, and sun-dried tomato.
Chicken Parm: Red sauce, fried chicken cutlet, ricotta, and parmesan.
Pizza prices range from $12.99 for a 10-inch cheese pizza to $24.99 for a 16-inch supreme. There are also $6 slices from a 24-inch pizza.
The menu also includes calzones ($14.50), hot and cold subs ($10.99-$14.99), pastas ($16.99-$19.99), wings ($13.99 per dozen), salads ($9.99-$14.99), and various sides.
For drinks, customers can choose from bottled sodas, tea, and Gatorade. The restaurant does not serve alcohol.
Giovanna’s is open Sunday-Monday and Wednesday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. It is closed on Tuesdays.
