Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Drue Tranquill’s “Tranquilo Crunch” pizza has raised $22,250 for Operation Breakthrough, funding a full year of after-school programs for over ten children.
So far, the pizza partnership has sold 11,000 pizzas, with Tranquill personally meeting some of the children who will benefit from the donation.
This initiative is part of a friendly competition with teammate Travis Kelce, whose “Kelceroni” pizza raised $100,000 over three years.
In addition, Tranquill and his wife have pledged to match donations, with a commitment to contribute up to $25,000.
