A Central Ohio pizzeria chain has unexpectedly closed one of its locations due to poor performance. Massey’s Pizza in Hilliard, located at 5068 Cemetery Rd., shut its doors permanently without prior notice on social media or through a press release.

Local residents were surprised when they received a voicemail stating, “Massey’s Pizza Hilliard is permanently closed,” while attempting to place an order. The location, known for its all-you-can-eat pizza buffet, has been a staple in the Hilliard area for some time.

A spokesperson for Massey’s Pizza explained the decision, saying, “We are sorry to leave the Hilliard area, but we decided to close this underperforming store to tighten up the bottom line heading into the new year. This location never met our expectations and was ultimately on the chopping block. We have appreciated being part of the community.”
