Pizza Parma, a local Pittsburgh pizzeria, spread holiday cheer by offering free pizzas to customers on Christmas. The shop’s Shadyside and Downtown Pittsburgh locations handed out large cheese pizzas for free between 10 a.m. and noon on Wednesday.
The giveaway was part of Pizza Parma’s tradition of giving back to the community. “We want to give back to the community,” said Ates Budak, the son of the pizzeria’s owner. “They support our business, so we want to support them.”
The pizza shop typically distributes over 300 pizzas during these events, which have also been held on Thanksgiving and Christmas in previous years.
