Small and medium-sized pizza chains are making a bold move into the chicken market, responding to strong demand for poultry. While competition in the chicken sector is fierce, its popularity remains high, creating new opportunities for pizza brands.
On the 27th, Banolim Pizza announced a promotional event to celebrate the success of its new boneless chicken offering. The initial 8 tons of chicken, launched just 10 days earlier, sold out quickly. Roundup Pizza also joined the trend on the 5th, introducing a chicken side menu designed to complement its pizzas. The two new options—‘Bunsal Chicken Fruits Pack Original’ and ‘Bunsal Chicken Fruits Pack Garlic Jalapeno’—offer easy-to-enjoy chicken choices alongside pizza.
Banolim Pizza’s boneless chicken was expected to last until the 25th, but it began selling out nationwide by the 15th. Sales were temporarily halted until the 25th, but resumed on the 26th due to high demand.
The chicken is described as having a soft texture on the outside, making it easy to eat and a perfect pairing with pizza. The Garlic Jalapeno version features a round garlic sauce with a spicy jalapeno kick.
Roundup Pizza’s cost-effective approach also appears to be paying off. The company introduced the “Pizza Chicken Roundup Set,” offering pizza, boneless chicken, and French fries at a reasonable price—a combination that has proven popular with customers.
To celebrate its success, Banolim Pizza will hold a discount event until the 29th. Customers who order a round pizza through Baedal Minjok will receive a special offer.
An official from Banolim Pizza commented, “This new menu has been well-received because it offers both high-quality pizza and chicken at an affordable price, making it a popular and cost-effective choice for customers.”
