Rye Gap Ltd, a Kildare-based business, has submitted a planning application to Wicklow County Council for a new coffee and pizza takeaway in Arklow. The proposal includes building a single-storey modular structure on the south side of the town, on Wexford Road.
The application also requests permission to demolish a derelict single-storey building, install advertising signage, and carry out associated site works and services. The proposed site spans 0.12 hectares.
The existing buildings cover a total floor area of 153.93 sqm, while the new building and demolition work will have areas of 75.5 sqm and 153.93 sqm, respectively.
The public can submit their comments until January 29, with a decision expected by February 19.
