Brevard residents will soon have a new spot to enjoy delicious stone-fired pizza. Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza, known for its fresh ingredients and imported pasta, is opening its first location in Brevard on January 13. The chain, which already has 13 other locations across Florida, is expanding its reach.
The new restaurant will be located at 7655 Stadium Parkway in Addison Center at Viera, a shopping area that also includes Publix, Great Clips, and Whit’s Frozen Custard. The venue will offer both indoor and outdoor seating.
“Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch, a nice dinner with friends, or a takeout meal for the family, Piesanos is the place to be,” said Jerry Roberts, co-owner of Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza, in a news release. “We’re excited to welcome Viera to our family.”
What to Expect at Piesanos
The new Piesanos location will be open seven days a week. Its hours are Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Piesanos will offer a variety of soups, salads, and pasta dishes, including rigatoni alla vodka and garlic broccoli cappellini. All dine-in meals come with the restaurant’s signature rolls.
The restaurant also features a selection of unique pizzas, including the salami calabrese, meatball and ricotta, and more. Piesanos uses special granite stone-fired ovens to create its signature pizzas.
For those looking to relax, the restaurant includes a full bar with eight draft beers and wines available by the glass or bottle. The 5,600-square-foot space is designed to accommodate gatherings of all sizes.
The History of Piesanos
Co-owner Joel Mills, originally from Staten Island, moved to Florida in 1994. In 2000, Joel and his wife Rebecca opened Italian Gator Pizza by the Slice in Gainesville, aiming to serve quality pizza and Italian dishes to University of Florida students and faculty.
In 2009, the Mills partnered with three other restaurant owners—Michael and Melissa Akey and Laure Young—to create Piesanos. The Viera location is the 14th in Florida.
