Beauty is subjective, especially when it comes to food. What some may consider bad, others may find delightful. That’s why I believe the pizza many call the “worst” is actually quite good, and it’s still thriving with eight locations in Illinois.
Mashed recently ranked the best and worst pizza chains. At the bottom of their list was Pizza Ranch, a brand I happen to enjoy.
Why does the internet view Pizza Ranch as the worst? It’s hard to say for sure, but one reason might be the concept of a pizza buffet. Personally, I love the buffet style at Pizza Ranch. It brings back memories of the old Pizza Hut buffets that were so popular in the ’80s and ’90s, and I wish those were still around.
According to Pizza Ranch’s official website, there are eight locations scattered across Illinois. While it’s not my favorite pizza (though I’m keeping my top pick a secret), I strongly recommend giving Pizza Ranch a try if you’re near one. A pizza buffet is a solid option, and in my opinion, it’s tough to go wrong.
