As the Detroit Lions gear up for their NFL playoff push, Mootz Pizzeria + Bar in downtown Detroit is getting into the spirit with special menu items inspired by the team’s colors.
Located on Library Street, Mootz is offering two Honolulu Blue-themed pizzas in honor of the Lions’ postseason. The first is the Honolulu Blue Pizza, which features NYC pizza sauce, mozzarella, ham, bacon, and blue-dyed pineapple. The second option, the Spicy Honolulu Blue Pizza, comes with mozzarella, fire chicken, jalapenos, banana peppers, blue-dyed pineapple, red onion, and fire BBQ sauce.
For each sale of the 14-inch Honolulu Blue Pizza or the spicy version, as well as specialty cocktails, Mootz will donate $1 to the Detroit Lions Foundation. The foundation supports youth in underserved communities through partnerships with local non-profits.
Both pizzas are priced at $29.50, while cocktail prices vary. The items are available not only at Mootz Pizzeria but also at the restaurant’s Side Hustle lounge.
Mootz Pizzeria + Bar is located at 1230 Library St. in downtown Detroit.
