Pizza Hut will no longer operate in Chile, as announced by Food Delivery Brands (FDB) on Wednesday in Santiago. The company, which also manages Telepizza, stated that despite their efforts, they had to shut down their operations in the country.
According to a statement from FDB, the decision to close all Pizza Hut and Telepizza outlets in Chile and request the company’s liquidation was a difficult one. The company cited economic challenges, competition, and financial struggles as factors leading to the closure. They also mentioned their focus would now shift to operations in Europe.
FDB expressed appreciation to consumers for their loyalty and thanked the employees for their dedication throughout the years. The company pledged to handle the process responsibly, ensuring the protection of workers’ rights and other affected parties.
