Pizza World & Voodoo Brewing Company are relocating due to a major construction project on 42nd Street in Cedar Rapids.
The restaurant, which has been at its current location for five years, has decided to move to a new spot next to the Edgewood Road Hy-Vee in the Fountains. The construction, which is expected to last for a while, prompted the move to ensure the business could continue serving customers.
Manager of Pizza World & Voodoo Brewing Company explained that while it was a difficult decision, the move was necessary to stay open during the construction. The new location is expected to open in February.
The $7.3 million roadwork project on 42nd Street is set to begin this spring and is scheduled to be completed by late 2025 or early 2026.
