Fired Dough, an Edinburgh-based pizza restaurant, is now offering its first-ever lunch menu. Located on Lothian Road, the restaurant opened four months ago with a promise to bring the authentic flavors of Naples to the city.
The menu features traditional, hand-made wood-fired pizzas made from Neapolitan-style dough, which has been left to rise for up to 48 hours. In addition to its regular pizza and antipasti options, the lunch menu, launching Monday, includes several new dishes.
Among the highlights are panuozzo sandwiches, which are pizza breads filled with ingredients such as prosciutto, burrata, rocket, pulled chicken, mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, and roasted vegetables. The sandwiches also feature tomato pesto and rocket salad.
Lunches are available from noon to 5 p.m. every day, both in the 40-seat restaurant and as takeaway. Two-course meals are priced at £11.95, and three-course meals are £13.95.
Owner and head chef Vinu Murugan said the new menu was created with passion and precision using traditional techniques and high-quality ingredients. Murugan aims to cater to local office workers and tourists passing through the area.
“I’m excited to expand our offerings in Edinburgh,” Murugan said. “We’ve carefully designed a menu we think people will love, and we can’t wait for our customers to try it.”
