A new dining experience has arrived in Jersey City, offering a unique opportunity to explore different cultures through pizza. The owner of One World Pizza, located at 49 Baldwin Avenue, has introduced a chef’s table dinner experience that allows small parties to sit directly at the kitchen table and watch the pizza-making process.
One World Pizza
One World Pizza opened its doors in late 2024, situated near Cafe Alyce. The restaurant is tucked away, with a single A-frame sign that reads, “Now Open One World Pizza.” The cozy space can accommodate about a dozen guests, with the large pizza oven at the center of the room. The smell of melting cheese, roasted garlic, and smoked meats fills the air each time the door opens to slide pizzas in and out.
The menu is simple, offering a selection of salads and pizzas. One standout item is the Roasted Veggie Salad, featuring squash, sweet potato, mixed greens, and a cinnamon vinaigrette. Pizzas are available in two sizes: a six-inch option perfect for Instagram at $11-$13 and a 12-inch size for sharing, priced at $16-$18. Varieties include classic cheese, Mexican street corn, and Bulgogi with kimchi sauce. The specialty pizza, Carpaccio, features Wagyu Ribeye, arugula, mustard, onion, and pecorino and costs $55. Each pizza is topped with garlic confit and freshly grated parmesan.
A Personal Touch
Owner Tory, who has lived in Jersey City for almost nine years, shared her love for the neighborhood: “I’ve been putting my heart and soul into making good food here for almost 10 years now.”
Chef Jesus, a local with nearly 20 years of experience, runs the kitchen. He expressed his pride in serving his community: “I’ve been around to different states and cities, but I always come back because this is home.”
The chef’s table experience offers a glimpse into the heart of One World Pizza, where diners can enjoy a meal while watching their pizza made from scratch.
