Pizza My Heart, the beloved pizza chain with a beach-inspired theme, has opened a new restaurant in Pleasant Hill. The new location is situated in the Crossroads (Kohl’s) Shopping Center, continuing the brand’s growth across the region.
Founded in 1981 on Capitola Beach, Pizza My Heart has since expanded, with nearly 30 locations now operating from Monterey to Contra Costa. Known for its unique surf-and-slice concept, the restaurant features a custom-made surfboard dining table, adding to its coastal charm.
The family-owned pizzeria is renowned for using locally sourced vegetables and serving toppings like nitrite- and nitrate-free pepperoni, bacon, and antibiotic-free chicken. Specialty pizzas include the Big Sur, which combines roasted garlic with sausage, pepperoni, and mushrooms, and the Figgy Piggy, a flavorful combination of black figs, feta, bacon, and sage.
In addition, Pizza My Heart is offering a seasonal slice called Mushroom Magic, featuring a mix of portobello, shiitake, and button mushrooms, paired with sausage and mozzarella on a parmesan-garlic sauce. Executive chef Spencer Glenn, who attended the restaurant’s grand opening on January 20, shared his excitement for the new menu item.
