The James Beard Foundation has revealed its 2025 Restaurant and Chef Award semi-finalists, honoring excellence in dining across all types of restaurants. The prestigious awards, established in 1990, recognize achievements from fine dining to casual eateries.
This year’s ceremony will celebrate the significant role the James Beard Awards have played in shaping American food culture and acknowledging culinary excellence.
New Jersey has two semi-finalists this year: Dan Richer from Razza in Jersey City and David Viana from Lita in Aberdeen. Nominees will be announced in April.
The winners of the 2025 James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards will be revealed at a ceremony on Monday, June 16, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
