Americana Restaurants International Plc, a leading operator in the MENA region and Kazakhstan, has acquired the Pizza Hut brand in Oman from the Khimji Ramdas Group. This acquisition is part of Americana’s ongoing strategy to grow its presence across the region and strengthen its position in established markets.
Americana has been operating in Oman since 1986 through its popular brands, KFC and Hardee’s, and has built strong relationships within local communities. The acquisition not only demonstrates Americana’s commitment to Oman but also contributes to economic growth, creates new jobs, and strengthens ties with the Omani community.
In July 2022, Americana entered into a franchise agreement with Yum! Brands to expand Pizza Hut in Saudi Arabia, excluding Jeddah, and has since established nearly 100 restaurants across the kingdom. With this latest acquisition in Oman, Americana now operates approximately 450 Pizza Hut locations across the region, reinforcing its leadership in the pizza sector.
The move further solidifies Americana’s dedication to the Pizza Hut brand and aligns with its growth plans in the region. By combining Pizza Hut’s established local presence with Americana’s expertise and focus on innovation, the company is poised to drive growth and enhance customer experiences. Americana plans to leverage advanced digital tools, including online ordering and personalized marketing, to meet changing customer preferences and improve convenience.
Americana Restaurants is focused on ensuring a smooth transition and will continue to apply its operational expertise to provide long-term value to customers, communities, and stakeholders.
