The Eastern Washington women’s golf team resumed competition at the Pizza Hut Invitational this past weekend, hosted by Southern Utah at Sunbrook Golf Course in St. George, Utah. The Eagles secured 11th place with a team score of 938, finishing ahead of Big Sky rival Idaho State, which posted a score of 959.
Sophomore Gabriella Ilardi was Eastern Washington’s top performer, tying for 32nd place with a total score of 226 (+10). Ilardi improved her performance with each round, starting with a 74 in round two and finishing with a 72 in the final round. She also tied for 10th in the individual standings with nine birdies over the three rounds.
Kami Twining completed the tournament with a score of 235 (+19), finishing 52nd, while Berkley Ledesma shot 236 to tie for 55th.
Northern Arizona, another Big Sky Conference team, claimed victory in the tournament with a score of 871, and Lizzie Neale from NAU took the individual title.
Looking Ahead
The Eagles will have a week off before heading to Nashville, Tennessee, for the Nashville Invitational, hosted by Lipscomb University. The event is scheduled for March 24-25 at the President’s Reserve at Hermitage Golf Course.
