Pizza Hut is rolling out a new prototype restaurant in Plano, Texas, featuring innovative updates aimed at enhancing the customer experience. The chain unveiled the changes in a recent press release, highlighting a “significant update” to both the restaurant’s exterior and interior design.
One of the standout features is “Hut ‘N Go,” a digital drive-thru menu that allows customers to quickly order ready-to-serve items for pickup directly from a window. Additionally, the new locations will continue to offer the Hut Lane, where customers can enter the restaurant, grab their food from heated cabinets, and go. A new window will also allow guests to watch employees prepare pizzas, providing a more interactive experience.
Pizza Hut CEO Aaron Powell emphasized the importance of a seamless, personalized experience for customers. “Beyond just serving delicious pizza, which we do very well, it’s equally as critical that our guests enjoy a seamless experience with us that feels personalized to their tastes and needs,” Powell said. “This restaurant format harnesses the power of these priorities and, as a result, creates magic that only Pizza Hut can offer.”
Shannon Garcia, President of Global Franchise Markets and Global Operations, also praised the digital and tech-driven elements of the new design. “These features help guests easily guide their own journey with Pizza Hut and allow our restaurant team members to better serve them,” Garcia explained.
While this Texas prototype is the first of its kind in the U.S., the innovative design is already in use at nearly 2,000 Pizza Hut locations worldwide.
