A popular ice cream chain, Crispy Cones, will officially open its doors in Knoxville on March 28 at 6736 Malone Creek Drive. The dessert sensation, which gained fame after its appearance on Shark Tank, specializes in pastry dough cones filled with gourmet soft serve and topped with a variety of unique ingredients, including Nutella, cookie butter, and peanut butter.
Customers who follow the chain on Instagram will receive a complimentary signature cone during the grand opening. Brad Burcham, franchise owner of the Knoxville location, expressed excitement about bringing the interactive ice cream experience to the city, describing it as “fun, fresh, and totally unique.” Crispy Cones, which started with two locations in Idaho and Utah, has expanded rapidly and plans to have over 100 locations nationwide by 2025.
Harby’s Pizza & Deli Set to Reopen After Five Years
After five years of closure due to the pandemic, Harby’s Pizza & Deli will reopen its dining room on April 1 under new ownership. Kara Daley, who owns the Diner at Twisters, has taken over the pizza place at 3718 Walker Blvd. Daley aims to restore the restaurant to its roots, with plans to reintroduce beloved fan-favorite sandwiches. The establishment will also debut a new logo, colors, and menu. Daley plans to incorporate Twisters’ ice cream into Harby’s offerings, adding another exciting element to the restaurant’s reopening.
Jeff’s Bagel Run Expands to Knoxville
The popular Florida-based chain Jeff’s Bagel Run is making its way to Knoxville. Founded in 2021, the bagel shop has quickly expanded and now has 90 locations either open or in development. Known for its wide variety of bagels and creative cream cheese flavors like cake batter and roasted jalapeno, the Knoxville location marks the brand’s first in the city. John Fink, the owner of the Knoxville branch, expressed excitement about bringing the beloved bagel shop to town and looks forward to connecting with the community. An opening date and specific location have yet to be announced.
Cazzy’s Corner Grill Expands with Bearden Location
Cazzy’s Corner Grill, a favorite for fresh and high-quality food, has expanded with a second location in Bearden. The new restaurant at 215 Brookview Centre Way, which opened last month, joins the original Northshore location. Executive Chef Annie Fletcher, a former University of Tennessee athlete, leads the menu with dishes like jerk chicken, feta meatballs, and chimichurri pork tenderloin. The new location also features a full Sunday brunch menu, including items like the Northshore omelet and the Italian Stallion breakfast bowl.
The Bearden location, situated next to Barberitos and Clean Eatz, brings a fresh dining experience to the neighborhood with an emphasis on healthy, authentic cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.
