A teenage boy was threatened with a knife outside The Royal Pizza on London Road in Twyford on Friday, March 21, during a robbery that occurred around 5:30 p.m.
The victim was with his friends when three boys on bicycles approached them. One of the suspects dismounted his bike and asked if he could ride the victim’s e-bike. When the victim declined, the situation escalated. The boy became aggressive, lifted his shirt, and revealed the silver handle of a knife.
The three offenders then surrounded the victim, prompting him to hand over the key to his e-bike. The main offender then rode off on the stolen e-bike, heading toward Ruscombe.
The primary suspect is described as a white male, around 16 years old, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing a balaclava and all-black clothing. Another suspect is also described as a white male, around 16 years old, around 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a balaclava, black jogging bottoms, and a puffer jacket. The third suspect is a white male, around 14 years old, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a balaclava and a black tracksuit.
The stolen e-bike is a bright yellow E-Box Dragster.
Detective Constable Stephen Major, who is leading the investigation, is urging anyone who witnessed the robbery or may have information to come forward. He is also asking residents and drivers in the area to check any CCTV or dash-cam footage that may have captured relevant details.
